DESCRIPTION: The carapace length can reach up to 40cm making this common crustacean quite an impressive catch.  The body is a dark blue with variable sandy flecks.  DISTRIBUTION: Common around all coasts. HABITAT: Crevices and small caves in deep water although smaller specimens can be found at low tide in rock pools. BEST TIME TO SEE: All year round.
