DESCRIPTION: Up to 15mm in length. One of the true limpets this small species is easily identified by the translucent amber shell, the small size and the broken rows of stunning blue lines running along the top. These blue lines do fade with age. DISTRIBUTION: Found attached to the fronds and holdfasts of Laminaria type seaweeds. HABITAT: On lower shores and in shallow water. BEST TIME TO SEE: All year round.
