DESCRIPTION: Crustose. Grey thallus with scattered black sunken fruiting bodies which when cut open show a deep violet colour within. Main surface is cracked and lumpy and the entire specimen it is surrounded by a bluish line. DISTRIBUTION: Common throughout. HABITAT: Rocky shores on rocks and also inland.
