DESCRIPTION Height - 3 - 6inches. A lime-loving evergreen fern that has fronds which form a rosette. Each frond is made up of a long, slender dark purple midrib which has rounded leaflets along opposite sides. The underside of each leaflet has several dark oblong sori which ripen August to November.
DISTRIBUTION Common throughout the British Isles.
HABITAT Old rocks and walls.
