DESCRIPTION: Up to 5mm in length.  A somewhat subdued looking Ladybird with pale fawn elytra that lack any definite spotting. A darker oblique line may be present and the odd reddish speckling seen, but overall the wingcases are plain. The pronotum is whitish to beige and sports a black 'M' mark. The legs are pale brown. BEHAVIOUR: A somehat sedentary species that feeds on woolly aphids. Overwinters in bark crevices, on other trees and in Ivy. Attracted to light. HABITAT: Lives and breeds on Larch but can also be found on other Pine and Fir trees. PERIOD: Mainly April to September but can be found overwintering with a little effort.
