DESCRIPTION: This is the most common crab to be
encountered around the British coasts. With many colour variations
ranging from blue to greens and browns the jagged front edge is the main
ID feature. Occasionally patterned varieties are seen. DISTRIBUTION: All coasts. HABITAT: All types of shores and estuaries usually
beneath rocks. BEST TIME TO SEE: All year round but can be seen in great
numbers in late summer. |
