DESCRIPTION: Height up to 60cm. The greyish-green
basal leaves are flat and unspotted . There are several sheathing
stem leaves. The flowers are purplish with the lower lip with a
central tooth and variable darker spots and streaks. The spur is
stout and curved with a blunt tip. DISTRIBUTION: Widespread in southern Britain. HABITAT: Damp grassland, open rides, marshes, fens
and dune slacks. FLOWERING TIME: June to July. |
