CAP: 3-8cm wide. Starting convex becoming flattened and
finally slightly depressed. Purplish to brownish red with subtle
greenish hints. The cuticle is slightly sticky when damp. STIPE: White with variable lilac overtones. Cylindrical. GILLS/PORES: Starting primrose becoming pallid golden yellow.
Adnexed, slightly decurrent, brittle. FLESH: White becoming pallid straw with hot taste and odour of
fruit. Brittle. SPORES: Hyaline with small warts. Broadly ellipsoid. HABITAT: In large numbers with pine. SEASON: Occasional. Summer to autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
