FRUIT BODY: 2-12cm in diameter. Dark brown to pale brown
becoming lighter towards the margins. Uneven surface and margins.
Ochraceous below. GILLS/PORES: N/A. FLESH: Reddish brown, tough and thick. No distinct taste or
odour. SPORES: Hyaline with small warts, fusiform. HABITAT: In coniferous woods with a preference for burnt areas. SEASON: Occasional. Summer to autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
