CAP: 2-7cm in diameter. Starting convex with inrolled
margin becoming flattened until finally lobed and uneven. Pale salmon
pink and faintly downy. Very rarely found in perfect condition. STIPE: Stout, equal and concolorous with cap. Downy. SPINES: Pale salmon pink. FLESH: White, soft and fragile with no distinct taste or odour. SPORES: Hyaline, broadly ellipsoid. HABITAT: In both broadleaved and coniferous woods. SEASON: Infrequent. Late summer to late autumn. EDIBILITY: Edible. |
