CAP: 3-5cm in diameter.  Yellow to orange-brown starting
        domed with powdery granules covering the surface becoming flattened with
        wavy edges with no granular covering.  The surface dries paler and
        the edges have a tattered appearance.  Often radially wrinkled. STIPE: The stem is equal and has an easily removed ring. 
      Brownish in colour with yellowish granules covering the lower part. GILLS/PORES: Gills are creamy white, crowded and adnate. FLESH: White becoming yellowish with smell of freshly mown hay. SPORES: Off-white, ellipsoid. HABITAT: Open grassland, parks, gardens and dense woodland. SEASON: Common.  Late summer to late autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible.  |
