FRUIT BODY: 2-4cm wide. Starting off disc shaped and
developing in clustered gelatinous brackets. Upper surface is
hairy and with greyish zones. Under surface is smooth, reddish
purple with whitish bloom and rubbery to the touch. GILLS/PORES: N/A. FLESH: No distinctive odour or taste. SPORES: White, sub-cylindrical and curved. HABITAT: Stumps and logs of deciduous trees with a preference for
elms. SEASON: Common. All year. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
