FRUIT BODY: 1 - 4cm cm in diameter. The fruit body is fan-shaped with irregularly lobed edge. Quite shell-like in appearance.Upper surface white to greyish covered with small hairs and tending to looked aged. GILLS/PORES: The gill-like folds on the underside are split and start whitish gradually becoming of a pinkish hue. FLESH: Tough, leathery and pallid. SPORES: White, cylindrical to elliptical. HABITAT: In dense horizontal clusters on deciduous trees and rotting timber. SEASON: Common.  All year round. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
