FRUIT BODY: A resupinate encrusting fruitbody with numerous crowded teeth projecting from the lower surface. These teeth start off white and becoming more creamy-yellow with age. FLESH: White and rubbery with a sweet, soapy fragrance. SPORES: N/A. HABITAT: In horizontal clusters on mainly beech trees. SEASON: Rare. Autumn to spring. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
