The list was:- House Sparrow; Herring Gull; Starling; Carrion Crow; Greenfinch; Blackbird; House Martin; Magpie; Goldfinch; Dunnock; Grey Heron; Little Egret; Pheasant; Buzzard; Chiffchaff; Common Whitethroat; Pied Wagtail; Feral Pigeon; Mallard; Great Black Backed Gull; Swift; Mistle Thrush; Bar Tailed Godwit; Whimbrel; Raven; Red Legged Partridge; Jackdaw; Bullfinch; Swallow; Collared Dove; Robin; Linnet; Cormorant; Wren; Song Thrush; Oystercatcher; Curlew; Shelduck; Great Spotted Woodpecker (with young looking out of nest); Chaffinch; Canada Goose; Mute Swan; Black Headed Gull; Wood Pigeon and Blue Tit.

Wild Strawberry; Figwort; Brooklime and Bloody Cranes-Bill were nice extras whilst the mind was absorbed with the birds.

Flowers observed were:- Yellow-Wort; Southern Marsh Orchid; Wild Privet; Large Flowered Evening Primrose; Sea Rocket and Ladies Bedstraw.

2nd June 2003 - Lizard Point, Cornwall - 21 species of bird, which were:- Chaffinch; Blackbird; Jackdaw; Herring Gull; Swallow; House Sparrow; Rook; House Martin; Goldfinch; Common Whitethroat; Fulmar; Linnet; Greenfinch; Great Black Backed Gull; Magpie; Dunnock; Stonechat; Cormorant; Lesser Black Backed Gull; Peregrine Falcon and Great Tit.

Flowers noted were:- Whistling Jack; Greater Periwinkle; Long Headed Clover; Sheep's-Bit; Sea Centaury; Field Bindweed; Meadow Vetchling; Hedge Mustard and Hottentot Fig.

A Basking Shark came close in and was observed from a viewpoint directly above - stunning beast.
