26th May - Nosey Nature Pootle - A chilled walk and recording day on behalf of Nature Connected, the government approved Local Nature Partnership for the Liverpool City Region (LCR). We shall be looking at all sorts of wildlife and compiling a list of things seen. 28th Sept - Fungal Foray and Food with Friends - Another in the series of fungi based days at the cookery school that is set in the beautiful surroundings of Harthill, Cheshire.

After a Tea/Coffee/Biscuits start you will go on a relaxing fungal wander that will highlight the beauty and necessity of fungi in the natural world with many tales to ponder and many mysteries to unravel. Emphasis on this part of the day will be on identification and aimed at filling your brains. Afterwards you will return to the cookery school for a fungi based risotto and mushroom soup and drinks to fill those aching bellies. A perfect package those those wanting to learn about the fungal world.

Price per person is £35. Start time 10am.

12th Oct  - FUNGAL HUNT DAY- The walk will be steep in places and may be muddy, so appropriate footwear is essential. Walks start from the RSPB car park. £7 per adult, £3.50 per child, with 20% off for RSPB members.

   
   
   

Tatton Park

13th Oct - FUNGAL HUNT - Participants need to bring a packed lunch and dress for the outdoors! It is important to note that the purpose of the foray is to learn about the species found and not to collect for culinary use. Also you will be walking through an area closed off to park visitors containing dead wood habitat and where we are undertaking important survey work. 

Price per person is £10.00. Start time 10am. The walk will last 3 hours.
