ADULT: Wingspan - 22 - 26mm. A typical wave-like moth with white fore and hindwings with the only markings made up of 2 broken cross-lines that end as dark spots on the leading edge of each forewing. The hindwings have 1 similar crossline which doesn't end in a dark area. CHRYSALIS: Hibernates as a pupa underground or among plant debris. LARVA: Feeds on Blackthorn and Hawthorn. EGG: Located on foodplants. BEHAVIOUR: Attracted to light. HABITAT: Woodland areas. Common throughout. FLIGHT PERIOD: May - June.
