The pale stigmata that is outlined in black and the white hindwings should confirm ID. The forewing is fairly pointed with a distinct straight leading edge. CHRYSALIS: Located underground. LARVA: Dark grey with pale dorsal band. Feeds on thrift, knotgrass, and plantains. BEHAVIOUR: Attracted to light and sugar. HABITAT: Coastal near dunes and cliffs. FLIGHT PERIOD: July - August. STATUS: More common towards the South and West coastlines.
